Brisk acidity gives it a zesty finish.

This Nero d’Avola shows the dark olive, caper and rosemary aromas. On the earthy side, with solid density to the dark plum and black cherry notes that are woven with hints of bitter almond, garrigue and olive paste on the savory finish.

Medium bodied in color and concentration, the wine opens to earthy layers with bold cherry fruit, crushed flowers and a background tinge of jammy raspberry. Clear aromas of pears and apple yoghurt. The wine ends with a silky, clean mouthfeel and a touch of dried herb.

Petit Verdot, Merlot and nero d’Avola. The growing season began with a cool and somewhat rainy winter and early spring. The straightforward, easygoing palate offers juicy black cherry and a peppery note alongside round tannins.


Blueberries and mulberries with light balsamic hints. Delicious and refreshing, it ends on a note of anise. Pinot Grigio ’10 Soft gold. Forest fruit and violets emerge on the bouquet and the mouthfeel is silky and firm.

This is an extreme wine for resilient palates. Medium-bodied, with fine tannins. Delicate, crisp and juicy. It offers good value from the deep south of Italy. Background aromas include dried herbs and a black olive and the wine ends with a fresh, menthol-like finish.

Freshly cut pineapple and melon notes sit upon a bright frame as nuances of wild herbs and flowers fill the tangy finish. Pair this wine with roast pork. Crisp, taut and full-bodied with good length.

Duemilavini – Riconoscimenti Malvirà

Cantine Barbera has produced a beautiful Passito dessert wine that shows feminine harmony and balance. Kreuth ’09 Green gold. Clean, firm and very fruity, but just slightly overdone. Barrique-aged for 16 months. Aromas suggest exotic fruit, yellow flower and a whiff of Mediterranean herb.

Unlitro is the latest wine produced by the farm. Full with youthful tannins, warm and full-bodied. The wine has firm density and raw tannins followed by succulent fruit flavors. Full, soft yet tense, elegant, juicy and full-bodied.


The nose is initially shy but eventually reveals aromas of black-skinned berry, blue flower and a whiff of Mediterranean shrub.

Full-flavoured, with well defined, complex aromas of yellow fruits on mineral notes of flint, then vanilly and light smoky tones. Elegant, subtle yet assertive, well balanced with a savoury and duemioavini finish. Smoky tones of ripe blackberry set the stage and offer sweet, caramel-like flavors along the way.
