The suffix generally denotes a gain group, but with an output device in something like theyou just need something reliable and tough. The On-Semi part fills the role well. Is there a preference or does it not even make a hill of beans. What is the difference in the “E” and the “R”? What is it y’all want to let me do here? I’ve only replaced transistors that size in the power supply, not the amp. I have both of them, hell, I probably got more transistors than Mouser right now. No, create an account now.
Seriously, it would be nice though if Mouser had a cross reference search on their website, at least I thank so. I found seven different 2SD datasheets, and not one mentions an R or P suffix. It’s not Plastic-isolated package, and it’s not alternate Pinout.
Those are many many years old specifications, probably HAD various classifications back then with the manufacturer Pioneer was sourcing with, now don’t and minimal doc has survived. I am slightly confused. I’d love to know, but I’m not holding my breath.
